R.I.P. Keith "Guru" Elam [ 11/17/66 - 4/19/10 ]

The lone spitter of the infamous Gang Starr duo passed yesterday from an ongoing battle with cancer.

Guru, 43, was hospitalized last month after experiencing a cardiac arrest and underwent successful surgery. The rapper of "Mass Appeal" fame was even supposed to make a full recovery; however, his condition weekend.

Although this may mean the death of one of hip hop's greatest "i'm the d.j. he's the rapper" groups, nothing can destroy the house the two built.



It's 4/20 folks; light up an extra spliff or two in his honor.
